Working on behalf of Mowlem Engineering Power for RLE Emico carried out 3 separate contracts on this project.
Contract 104F: Two No 11kV feeders were diverted to demolish two bridges and follow the new track alignment.
All redundant cable and equipment was recovered.
New C1/7 concrete trough was installed for the entire route
Installation and test of 2 points heating control kiosks feeding 12 sets of points, 3 sets of buffer stop lighting with control gear.
Installation of platform lighting and platform lighting control panel.
Contract 104H: New Sub station
Install and test the following 11kV equipment:
- 2 x ring main units.
- 2 x 500kVA transformers
- 11kV cabling between ring main units and transformers.
- LV panel cabling and LV Room fit out
25kV Diversion works: Install and test two 25KV feeder cables with IRC’s between the isolation transformer / switchgear and the OHLE.
Modify the existing switchgear to accept XLPE terminations.
Contract 105H: Install and test two 25KV feeder cables with IRC’s between Kings Cross and Murphy’s Yard – 9000m.
This cable was fixed to the tunnel wall using J hangers
