Working for Fitzpatrick Contractors Ltd, Emico were employed to install a 33kV feeder to the new Siemens Train Care facility on behalf of South West trains as well as upgrading the existing oil filled feeder.

The following 33kV oil filled feeders were upgraded to 3 x 300mm² XLPE singles with new pilot cables.

• Feeder 2050 (3 x 2100m)
• Feeder 2051 (3 x 700m)

Modify oil filled switchgear to terminate XLPE singles.

Upgrade protection from Solkor to Translay and re-commission.

All oil filled cable / equipment recovered and recycled.

Approx 6,500m of new trough was installed in the Depot yard for traction supplies and comms.

The HV cable routes were refurbished (concrete trough) where possible or replaced with new C1/9 trough including the provision of a UTX on the Docks branch and a cable gantry on the main Up & Down.
